MANAGEMENT OF LARGE INTER-DISCIPLINARY PROJECTS
Dr Scherman’s experience in the years from 2002 has been in the management of large environmental projects. She has coordinated integrated environmental monitoring programmes for clients such as Corridor Sands Limitada in Mozambique, with components as diverse as radiation monitoring, intertidal reef monitoring, beach pollution and socio-economic monitoring.
Her work in recent years has encompassed the management of teams of up 20 specialists in Reserve, Classification and RQO projects, covering a range of teams such as stakeholder engagement, biologists (wetlands, rivers, estuaries and groundwater), economists and hydrological modellers. Recent examples include the Outeniqua (Knysna/Swartvlei), Reserve study, Gouritz Reserve Determination Study and Mzimvubu Classification and RQO study.
